Getting started
Your first block live in about five minutes. The app's home page has the same steps as a checklist.
-
Create a block
Open Blocks in the app and choose a type. Each card says what it does. If your store isn't on Shopify Plus, the checkout-only types are shown locked, with the reason.
Not sure where to begin? Start with one that adds to the order: the product upsell on Shopify Plus, or the post-purchase offer on any plan.
-
Fill it in and save
The preview beside the form shows what buyers will see. Set the status to Active when you're ready. Saving as a draft keeps it hidden.
-
Put it on the page
Most blocks: in Shopify's checkout editor, click Add block, choose Block, type your block's name in the settings panel, then click Save. The block's page in the app has a button that opens the editor.
Post-purchase offer and survey: there's nothing to place. Go to Settings › Checkout › Post-purchase page in Shopify and choose Checkout Master.
-
Check it
The block shows in the editor's preview straight away. Shopify doesn't tell apps where a block was placed, so tick that step yourself on the app's home page.
Using customer account pages?
Blocks there need Shopify's current customer accounts; the legacy version doesn't show app blocks. Since February 2026 only stores that were already on the legacy version can still be on it. To check, open Settings › Customer accounts in Shopify, and if you're on the legacy version, follow Shopify's guide to upgrading from legacy customer accounts.
Things you can do with any block
- Show it to the right buyers: only in some markets, or only when the cart is big enough, or on certain days.
- Write it in every language you sell in. Buyers see their own language.
- Pause it any time. A paused block stays in place but buyers see nothing until you turn it back on.
